Joshua Lee Robinson was born in Jacksonville, Florida, and has lived in the Mid-West and New England. He spent much of his childhood as part of an international community, which strengthened his own cultural identity. Due to this experience, he easily finds connections with and strives to support and portray the stories of those from multiple backgrounds.

He is an actor with an eclectic set of skills and interests. He has earned a MFA in Actor Performer Training from Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance in the UK, where he studied with his mentors in Grotowski, Stanislavski, and Meisner techniques. He was last seen in the U.K. as Claudio in Measure for Measure, and in the States as Eilert Lovborg in Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler, Cleveland Sellers in Stokely and Martin by Najee Brown, Tramarion in Black Superhero Magic Mama, and Citizen Barlow in Actor Shakespeare Project’s production of Gem of the Ccean by August Wilson.

He has trained in commercial voice acting and as a teaching artist. He looks forward to doing both for the remainder of this year and 2027!

He is currently working on a self-produced comic strip, which began as a thesis for his Master’s Degree, while also exploring animation. He strives to build bridges and inspire empathy within and between Black and Global Majority communities through the use of gathering, performance, and comedy.
