Character breakdowns and scene study are the focus of the lesson. If you are struggling with connecting given circumstances with intentional acting choices, we will discover these connections together and apply them.

Casting directors/directors want to know two things:

Do you understand the text? Can I work with you?

We will show them your in depth understanding of the text, and your willingness to make specific, intentional decisions for your characters. You don’t have to get it 100% right. You just need to make it ‘true’.

Finding truth in a scene, or any piece of work requires knowledge of your character, their given circumstances, objectives, AND relationships.

It doesn’t matter if you’re the lead. Every piece is an ensemble piece.
